Welcome to the San Gabriel Valley Technology User Group Website!

We are a group of people who love computers!  We were originally a Tandy user group, but quite a few years ago, we had to update to the current technology, which is IBM clones, running MS-DOS and Windows.  We also support other operating systems, but currently lack members in those areas.  You need not own a computer to join us, and guests are always welcome.  If you decide to join our club, dues this year are only $1 per meeting attended, and your first meeting is on us (free) !

We welcome everyone from beginners to professionals.

Please come back often to check for updates to this website.   Thanx for stopping by. . .

~If you see just a solid black background on these pages, you need to adjust the Brightness and Contrast controls of your monitor.   Every page has  medium grey binary code  (1's & 0's)  superimposed on a black background.       (The binary code scrolls right to left behind the Title Banner at the top of each page.)

PowerPoint Presentations on various subjects are available by clicking here.

Carrie Holtzman, author of a so-called help book for computer users, seems to feel that user groups that turn him down for a free demo of his book need to be humiliated by having their website posted on his site.  He "claims" it's to help him keep track of who not to contact for future demos.  Most computer users, and especially businesses, keep track of their data and business contact info on their personal or business computer, not on the web for the entire world to see.  Now he is trying to further exacerbate the problem by posting our e-mail conversation on his site, of when I asked him about this practice.   Of course, he left out the part where I explained that our entire user group turned him down, for our own reasons, of which he knows absolutely nothing about.   Now we know the real reason for him posting user groups that refuse.  Most businesses aim to please the customer, not ridicule and humiliate them.  The customer's always right you know. . .   And no, we won't give him the satisfaction of providing a link to his site here, nor will we even post the title of his book.  In fact, we even had a review of his book here on our site, that wasn't even slightly critical.  But apparently, that wasn't enough for him.  Because of his lame attempt to embarrass and publicly ridicule us, that review and link is now deleted from this site.
