Microsoft "Publisher 2002"

A review   by   Lois Nesmith

Does Microsoft want customers to use this program?  To open the package took

an hour. [Special tamper-proof clear plastic.]  Preparing copy was no problem,

as I had years of experience with the Word Star program on earlier computers,

preparing books, newspaper copy and graduate student dissertations.

I had difficulty editing, fitting articles into a column and making other

corrections.  No doubt, lack of experience with the program contributed to my

frustration.

A problem arose just before deadline, when my printer jammed. It would’ve cost

more to repair it than to buy a new one. I could find no one who had Publisher 2002

in his/her computer, so corrections could not be made.  This meant that the

first draft had to be used. I cannot understand why Microsoft does not find

it practical to make the new program compatible with Publisher 2000.

Within a week, I bought a new printer, but too late.  For me, Publisher 2000

is OK [I prefer version 2000.]
